More Spring Flowers

Moving house and studio to a new location.  Taking a  break from creating to unpack.  Back soon with more developed drawings.

I have not stopped taking photographs.  Here are two new ones.  The peony is going to model for a drawing or painting.  Still photographing camillas.

Snapshots From My Studio

These snapshots are of the very beginning stages of the 64+ portraits from the LPP.  1-3 people will be drawn on each panel.  Pictured here are Bobby, Isoko, Garrie, Ophelia and Vitus all from different parishes in Louisiana.

I have started about 20 portraits on claybord panel with portraits of people from North Louisiana to South.  I am looking forward to making more trips to South Louisiana soon to
Calcasieu, Cameron, St. Mary, Lafourche, Jefferson and Plaquemines parishes.

Old quarry at Linsecum, LA.  I have driven by this abandoned quarry many times over the last six months. The water was always bright turquoise.  From minerals or algae possibly?  This picture does not do the color justice.  The color of yellow sands and gold dried grasses around the turquoise water is spectacular.

Linsecum is on 165 South, north of Alexandria.
